CCMelt catheter tipping machine utilize  RF welding induction heating and closed loop feedback control to process the tip forming. This equipment is compact and  fit on most desktops. Working process:

Insert the mandrel catheter into the heated die or mold, When start RF heat to pre heat the mold, catheter tip melting and forming. After cooling the mold, remove the mandrel and catheter.

Q1. How does the tip forming machine work and is the product quality stable?

First, the catheter and core wire are placed in the mold cavity, and the mold is heated to a certain temperature using induction heating technology. Then, the linear actuator drives the catheter to tightly adhere to the mold cavity at the tip end of the catheter and forming it. The mold is quickly cooled with cold air to solidify the tip of the catheter, and then the product is unload.

To ensure stable processing quality, we use standard stainless steel or nickel-based alloy mold materials and perform certain polishing processes to make the inner surface of the cavity smooth. In addition, we also use high-quality induction heating driver boards combined with PID temperature control to better ensure stable processing quality.

The best approach is to use appropriate mold materials and surface treatments during the design phase, combined with proper equipment programming, which should not be a major problem.

When Struggling to demold, using some mold releases agents that meet biocompatibility requirements can also help improve the demolding efficiency.
