Material Characteristics
– Consistent wall thickness: The molding process ensures that the wall thickness of the tip is uniform to avoid weak spots and to ensure strength and flexibility.
– Material flow: During the molding process, the material must be able to flow evenly to form the exact shape required.

Functionality
– Channel openings : If the catheter design includes side holes for injection, suction or other purposes, they must be correctly positioned, sized and shaped.
– Elasticity and Flexibility : The tip should be appropriately flexible in order to pass through tortuous ducts in the body without damaging the tissue.

Dimensional accuracy
– Dimensional tolerances : The dimensions of the tip must be within specified tolerances to ensure compatibility with other medical devices (e.g., intracatheter devices, guidewires, etc.).
